Parts Ordering

Meet Pete, your Parts Ordering team member.

Tracks parts for open repair orders and lets customers know about delays.

What Pete does

Pete watches the parts needed for open repair orders and checks what's in stock and what needs to be ordered. Pete drafts purchase orders for an advisor or the parts manager to approve, tracks expected arrival, and spots backorders. When a part is delayed, Pete gives the customer an honest heads-up. Connections to the store's systems are set up with each store, and only with the store's written OK.

How Pete helps the store

A vehicle can sit waiting on a part nobody ordered or one that was quietly backordered. Pete tracks parts and backorders, keeps customers informed about delays, and keeps a clear approval trail on each order.

How Pete works with your people

Pete never places an order without a person's approval. Pete doesn't choose substitute or aftermarket parts, and doesn't promise a delivery date that can't be confirmed. Upset customers and unusual sourcing go to the parts manager or an advisor.
